Designs for Two (Twins that is)

Everyone loves twins! Who doesn't, huh? Twice the cuteness, twice the giggles, twice the fun! I had one design in my shop, and I noticed that I had quite a bit of views and "favorites" for this listing. After a little research, I noticed there were hardly any embroidered shirt designs for twins. I don't know about you, but I think half the fun with two children that look alike is dressing them alike! So I decided to add some twin designs to my shop. Well, before I knew it, I had 22 twin designs -- that includes my original twin design. I had to end up making a shop section completely devoted to twins!

Contest --You Could Win A Free Shirt

Geo's is having a contest until February 1st. I have a new look for my shop, and have digitized the design to be sewn on a shirt. I know not everyone wants to walk around with "Geo's Embroidery" on their shirt, so we want to know what line you think should be added to this shirt. Now, remember, it can't be a lengthy line. It needs to be short enough to stitch on the shirt. It can comedic, silly, inspiring. It's up to you. Here is our Valentines Day Brag Shirt Design! There's female hearts with bows at the top of the heart, and they're wearing high heels! The boys hearts are stitched in blue, and they're wearing, what else of course, tennis shoes! This is a great shirt for grandma, mom, dad, grandpa, and it would be a cute design for a couple! This shirt has blue hearts for the boys, and pink hearts for the girls, but it can be done in any color. I think the next one I'm going to stitch is going to have all red hearts! I just thought it would make it even more unique with the blue and pink hearts!  The caption on this shirt says, "Grandma's Valentines", but pretty much any caption that you want can be put on it!  One cute caption is, "My kids walk all over my heart". (I can relate to that one! he-he-he) What do you think? If you were going to wear this shirt, what would you want it to say? Breast Cancer Awareness Designs Added to Shop

We are opening up a store on-line, www.geosembroidery.com, and with it, we will be adding our 100th item for sale. This is such a milestone that we want the 100th item to be something special and memorable. We have decided to stitch breast cancer awareness designs as our 100th item! With each shirt that is sold, we will donate $3 to the American Cancer Society in your name! Make sure you follow my blog, so you can be kept apprised of the addition of these designs. Some of these designs were digitized by me, and I guarantee you have not seen these designs on any shirt before. Help us to bring awareness to this disease, and aid in the fight against breast cancer!

New Year, New Site, New Look

In case you haven't noticed, Geo's Embroidery has a new look. I decided to give the shop an overhaul, and started with the new logo. I've got great things in store for Geo's this year, and am real excited about the opening of my new website, www.geosembroidery.com. Take a look. You will be able to find all of my items for sale, and no longer have to go through etsy to purchase them.
Geo's has added 10 new Brag Shirt designs since the 1st, and they are really cute and unique. Take a look! We have a great Valentine's Day design for mothers and grandmothers alike!
I am presently working on a new design to be introduced with my new web site. I am going a different way with this design. It is not a brag shirt design, but something real special. This will be our 100th item added, so we promise it will be a memorable one! I am presently working on a promotion with a local organization, and don't want to want to give out any information while it is still in the works!

My Heroes Wear Combat Boots

This is now my new Favorite Design -- "Some heroes wear capes My Heroes Wear Combat Boots
Along with the dogtags and your name embroidered on them! I have the applique version, which is the shirt at the top of this blog. Then there is the embroidered version, at the bottom of this post. It's a great way to honor our military men. What's left to say; the shirt says it all!!!

Tooth Fairy Pillows

When I came across Tooth Fairy Pillows, I thought what a wonderful idea that it was. I remember as a child, and with my own children, how exciting it was when a tooth was lost, and at the prospect that Fairy flying into my room and putting money under my pillow in exchange for that old tooth.

So I decided I wanted to design my own pillow, which is what you see.  My own touch to the pillow, the removable ribbon. All of the pillows I've come across have a ribbon, so you can hang the pillow on a doorknob, but I, right away, thought that those ribbon could be a potential strangulation issue. (I have been known to be a little dramatic.)

So I decided that I would use a detachable ribbon, so it could be removed, and the child could use the pillow to sleep on as well in between those visits from the fairy! he-he-he.

I purchased the Tooth Fairy design set from bunnycupembroidery.com (My favorite machine embroidery site!) They are the cutest tooth fariy designs I've come across. NOTE TO FELLOW EMBROIDERERS: Make sure you check out that site. In addition to the numerous designs they have for sale, they have a page with over 300 free retired designs in over 20 sets!!!

Also, I decied to use fleece on the pillows. It's just an added softness, along with the pillow insert, the end result is a very comfy, soft pillow. CAUTION:  If you lay your head on the finished pillow to test it out, you may become extremely drowsy!! (he-he-he)

My New Blog

Welcome to my Blog. I've been running Geo's Embroidery for almost three months now, and have come to the conclusion that this is the next step in operating my business. I'm not sure exactly where this blog will take me in the whole scheme of it all, but I do plan on having fun durin this process, and hope you will, too.

I've been dabbling in digitizing and hoping to introduce my designs, along with a lot of my complete projects.
